In order for anything to grow it has to be nurtured. When you nurture something you take good care of it and you give it what it needs to survive. You feed it. You keep it in the light, not the darkness. You pay attention to its needs. The Black Wives’ Club blog was created to nurture African-American marriages and the wives who give their all. Therefore what God has joined together, let not man separate. Marriage is honorable among all.
I am Tiya Sumter a Certified Relationship Coach. I have been married for 12 years and am the very proud mommy of two daughters. GOD has called me to help people take better care of their relationships and I am answering HIS call. I consider myself a black family (black marriage) crusader. In addition to creating the Black Wives’ Club, I am also the founder of Life Editing (a personal coaching service for couples, parents & teens).

Thank you for joining the Black Wives Club. I haven’t set up an official affiliate program. There is a group on the Black Wives Club network for wives to promote their businesses. Also feel free to post information about your business in our discussion forums. I am planning more for the network in this new year and that includes something for business owners as I am one also. Any ideas/suggestions would be greatly appreciated.

I get very excited each time I find others that are advocates for healthy and strong marriages/relationships!
I am the author of a new book that will be available within the next 2-3 weeks, “What’s Really Happening in African-American Relationships” at AuthorHouse.com. In addition my husband and I have a ministry – Seeds of Inspiration. We teach healthy marriages and relationships in the faith-based community.

This is truly a blessing. I see a lot of powerful sisters doing great things, I have a lot of wonderful ideas in my head, however I don’t always attract positive people in my circle. I don’t know why, but I have been praying that God would put productive people in my life, I feel this is one tool that he has give me!
